These last featherboards were done to put in a shop in Va. I had actually discussed this with the owner last year, but just never put it all together for this to happen.
This year however one of our crew who is very good freinds with this lady and has her own work in this womans shop, got me going on actually making this happen.
So, I have some exposure, now we will see if anyone is truly interested.
Well now being new to this site I am still finding my way around.
I want to thank everyone who has come to look at my work and thank you for also for all the good comments.
A little about me.
I am on staff at a sweat lodge at a place called Four Quarters Farm here in Pa (4QF.org). I have been doing this for going on three years now. My mate is the firekeeper for the lodge and that is where I first met him.
The medicine man for the lodge who is also my teacher, was taught by a Navaho medicine man by the name of Harry Jackson. So even tho we cannot be completly traditional in the Navaho way-(females on the reservation do not sweat with the men)-he does bring as many of the traditional Navaho aspect to the lodge as is possible.
From birth I have always been a creature of the deep woods, so the medicine of the indigous people of this world has always been something I have understood very well.
I love communication of all types, my artwork only being one form of this. I love sharing what I have learned with others. This gallery appears to be one good way of doing this.
So again thank you for coming and checking me out and I hope you enjoy the things I put here.
